WHConservation is delighted to be announce that it will be working in close co-operation with Harlequin Frames from 2015. Through this alliance each company is able to offer a complete professional service for the protection of historic objects, through conservation and framing.

In her other 'day job' working with Leicestershire County Council Museums Service Terri spent a day learning all about 3D scanning and printing for conservation, museums and heritage. Read her report of the day below.

We've updated our Portfolio section with details of the very large commemorative needlepoint we've been working on recently, as well as a testimonial very kindly written by the object's custodians at Leicestershire County Council. To read more about the project, go to Market Harborough Millennium Needlepoint.

On this day in 1911, one of the most shocking thefts of a generation was revealed by the Musée du Louvre. Leonardo Da Vinci's most famous masterpiece - the enigmatic Mona Lisa - had been stolen. The painting - which is made on a Poplar wood board - had hung in the Louvre for over 100 years and thankfully still hangs there today, as it was recovered two years later in 1913. Have you ever thought about why Mona Lisa looks so jaundiced though?

It's an exciting time here at WHConservation HQ. The sun has been shining, we've enjoyed splendid views across Doddington Hall's formal gardens as part of our working day, and we've got a new series of one-day workshops to share with you!
